For our client, an international biopharmaceutical company specialized in reproductive health, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and orthopedics, we are looking for a Legal Financial Specialist. Role Overview:As a Legal Financial Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our legal operations processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting within the Legal department. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to streamline legal services accruals, provide insightful data analytics, manage relationships with external legal service providers, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Legal Operations team.Main Accountabilities:Legal Services Accruals:

  • Prepare monthly and annual legal services accruals utilizing Brightflag eBilling tool and data from interactions with legal services providers.
  • Ensure timely, valid, and accurate accrual submissions.
  • Continuously improve processes surrounding accruals for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

Data and Analytics:

  • Provide analytics and insight into legal services spend data for CLO team leaders.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop data-driven budgets and forecasting for legal matters.
  • Package and present findings in a clear and understandable manner for non-technical stakeholders.

Law Firm Management:

  • Analyze legal services data to optimize the utilization of law firms and other service providers.
  • Align service provider strategy with outsourcing goals and CLO Services Model.

Financial Partnership:

  • Partner with CLO Finance and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Produce informative financial reports and dashboards for the CLO team.

Legal Services Benchmarking:

  • Support benchmarking efforts to facilitate sourcing, negotiation, and selection of law firms and service providers.
  • Ensure alignment with global guidelines and the CLO Services Model.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive automation and outsourcing where appropriate for enhanced efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven continuous improvement within the Global CLO team.

Global Legal Operations Support:

  • Partner with the Global Legal Operations team on projects and initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements to provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Legal Operations or related role.
  • Strong financial or accounting acumen.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and eBilling tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
