YOUR IMPACT

As a Sanctions Compliance Legal Counsel you will:

  • Provide a full service to MSC, MSC-s subsidiaries, worldwide agencies and their respective directors, managers and employees on sanctions compliance, to ensure that the company meets its regulatory requirements.  
  • Develop, maintain, and revise policies and procedures related to compliance with sanctions laws and regulations.
  • Legal monitore within the area of competence and the coordination with external legal  counsels where required.
  • Promote and control the implementation of the company-s policies within the area of competence,  communicating, performing trainings and due diligence tasks.  
  • Review compliance related certificates or clauses to preserve MSC-s contractual interests, with customers, suppliers or business partners. 

YOUR BACKGROUND

General requirements:    

  • Master-s degree in law and experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a multinational  company.
  • Admitted to the Swiss BAR.
  • 2-3 years of relevant sanctions compliance experience.  
  • Fluent in English - Knowledge of a major language is an asset.  
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and communicate/persuade others at all levels, including the company-s Compliance  management, customers, suppliers or business partners, whether in writing or orally, individually or to a large audience. 

Technical skills: 

  • Knowledge in sanctions compliance
  • OFAC, EU, SECO, HMT/OFSI 
  • Experience in managing the implementation of Compliance programs.  
  • Knowledge and interest in shipping and international trade.  

CONTRACT DETAILS

  • Based in Geneva.
  • Full Time.
  • Permanent Role.
  • Starting ASAP.
