An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available at Shire Neuchâtel Plant (approx. 650 employees) for a Supply Chain Site lead.

Job summary

As the leader of an overarching Supply Chain communication and alignment process you will be directly responsible for the site supply chain planning team (master planners, production planners, analysts, and warehouse). You will also be responsible to oversee Supply Chain processes providing leadership and directions to maximize service levels, inventory turns and efficiency.

In this role you will lead and implement process improvement projects ensuring compliance and safety as a key outcome.

Within this key site leadership position you will actively support Plant Long Range Capacity Planning (LRCP) and lead monthly Site Sales & Operations (S&OP) processes.


Essential duties and responsabilities

  • Accountable for service levels, materials availability and inventory goals.
  • Participate in project portfolio management.
  • KPI  management / VSM / Cycle time reduction / Inventory management
  • Support Head of Supply planning for regular KPI reporting.(WSA/SNAP) meeting. BOLT Back-up
  • Lead Supply Chain council
  • Support Long Range Capacity Planning processes.
  • Actively participate to the Budget and Forecasts preparation.
  • Lead the monthly S&OP process.
  • Oversight for the monthly planning processes at site level
  • Support the planner/buyers team for issues management and to establish general material planning policies.
  • Actively participates in business review meeting with suppliers in order to assess current performance and define future supply guidelines
  • Provide strategic, tactical and functional expertise on supply chain activities.
  • Manage and coach planning team.
  • Provide direction and active support for escalated issues within supply chain area.
  • Responsible for local/global planning cost centers
  • Review and analyze supply chain KPIs in order to identify corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead, support and promote projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience


  • Supply chain, business administration or other relevant qualificationn.
  • More than 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Fluent in English / French
  • Strong leadership, communication and emotional intelligence skills
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and in particular Excel and powerpoint


  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt.
  • Experienced and working knowledge of JDE / C3ME and / or SAP systems.


  • APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Masters or Degree qualified in Supply Managment / Business Management.
