Job dimension
In this role, you will be responsible for a delivery team of 6-10 persons and the management and development of a portfolio of systems used within the gas and power trading businesses, notably the Back Office (Trading Support). The systems scope includes confirmation, clearing, invoicing and reconciliation modules, but you will be expected to work closely with other delivery teams for the integration of systems and to contribute to run and change activities across teams.

Activities
Supervise a team of 6-10 persons, approve their time reports, absences, holidays, etc
Ensure the appropriate staffing of your team according to Trading IT guidelines, which shall include both internal and contract resources
Plan and report the activities of your team, manage your feature team backlog and prioritize activities according to IT and business inputs
Act as a third line support for issues affecting systems in your perimeter, ensure availability and aim to resolve all incidents according to the agreed service levels
Coordinate configuration and change requests, as requested by business stakeholders
Provide management level reporting of your backlog and support tickets
Contribute to projects that are managed across feature teams
Work closely and cooperate with other feature teams from within Gas & Power Trading IT and the other IT/Technology teams within Trading IT
Enforce governance and standards, including project approvals, technology standards, testing and quality assurance, and so on
Ensure compliance of development and related activities with legal, regulatory and other audit/internal requirements, e.g. Sarbannes-Oxley
Stay informed of market/technology developments relevant to the scope of work

Context and environment
TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading (TGP) and its affiliates are expanding and developing quickly in support of the company’s transition to power. Most notably, the acquisition of a range of energy assets, from renewable sources such as wind and solar, to batteries and CCGT’s. For trading this implies significant growth in trading volumes, a larger geographical footprint and an urgency for process automation, which has many implications for IT. For the Back Office for gas and power trading, there is a need for systems improvement to support all of the changes required. In parallel with the power transition, the gas trading business is also expanding, and places additional demands on the IT.
Accountabilites
Recommend and take decisions for the design, implementation and management, of solutions for the Back Office of gas and power trading globally, including confirmation, clearing, invoicing, and reconciliation modules, ensure alignment with other relevant persons and teams (notably Energy Data Management and Core Trading Systems), and supervise a delivery team that is closely aligned with the business, and the Back Office teams in particular.

Qualifications/Experience required
5+ years’ of work experience in a utility or a commodity trading environment, and preferably with knowledge of the energy markets
Excellent communication skills, analytical, results focused, organized and a team player
Knowledge of confirmation, clearing and settlement processes, understanding of front to back system flows, trade lifecycles and risk control processes
Training and experience (with certifications) of any of IT service management (e.g. ITIL) project management (e.g. PMI, Prince 2), agile methodologies, cloud and database technologies, is desirable
Educated to at least degree level or an equivalent in a business, computer science or a similar technology or engineering discipline
Fluent in English, competency in French is advantageous
