As an Academic Coordinator, you are in charge of:

  • Engage stakeholders for training programs
  • Develop and promote training programs
  • Assist Academic Managers in maintaining academic oversight
  • Support Academic Manager, staff, and faculty on program design and delivery
  • Assist in selecting and negotiating with potential teachers
  • Draft academic calendars and schedules
  • Aid faculty in course development and improvement
  • Coordinate student and faculty issues
  • Manage exams, thesis supervision, and feedback processes
  • Update academic documents and handbooks
  • Manage student information on the academic online portal
  • Coordinate GSD evaluation and accreditation processes
  • Provide support during student induction and progression
  • Represent the institution at admissions, marketing, and academic events

Description du profil :

The successful candidate for this position would ideally possess a combination qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in fields such as international relations, political science, or related disciplines.
  • Previous teaching experience would be advantageous.
  • Proficient English communication skills required; knowledge of French or other languages is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with students and faculty from diverse cultural backgrounds tactfully.
  • Organisational skills, punctuality, and initiative are highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail and adeptness at managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with databases essential; familiarity with learning management systems like Moodle and Odoo preferred.
  • Experience in developing training programs is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a results-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with the Swiss university education system is preferred.
  • Attributes such as dedication, commitment, and loyalty to the institution are essential.
