A privately held organisation is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to oversee a team of accountants. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers a broad scope of responsibilities in a stable and structured environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in audit and accounting, with experience both in a Big Four firm and in an in-house finance function.

Description

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Lead and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings (balance sheet, P&L, accruals, etc.)
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process and relationships with auditors
  • Oversee accounting operations and provide technical guidance to the team
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and continuously improve financial processes
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and support corporate tax filings
  • Contribute to consolidation processes and group reporting
  • Participate in finance-related projects and system enhancements

Team Coordination & Administration:

  • Supervise and support a team of accountants
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of daily accounting tasks
  • Assist in the preparation of banking documentation and payment instructions
  • Collaborate on cross-functional and ad hoc projects
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and data integrity

Profile

  • Certified Public Accountant (Swiss CPA or equivalent) - mandatory
  • Previous experience in a Big4 audit firm
  • Proven track record in a corporate accounting or consolidation role outside of audit
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid work authorisation for Switzerland
