This position will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable team while supporting various management initiatives and systems implementation projects. The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the overall invoicing, collection and cash application activities and timely management of all AR aging components. The Accounts Receivable Manager will also maintain and improve sustained cash flow through diligent and aggressive monitoring of our customer accounts. This role will direct initiatives to improve working capital, including account monitoring, aligning AR DSO, and ensuring effective and efficient processing of AR functions.


Responsible for collections activity within the company
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
Monitor the process of customer payments including checks, wire transfers, ACH, credit cards, and chargebacks
Conduct credit checks on all customer, establish and manage limits
Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures, support process improvement
Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls
Review and respond to requests from customers and sales team in a timely manner relating to billing issues, account research, and collections matters
Perform general ledger month-end/year-end closing and reconciliation of journal entries
Analyze revenue and expense postings comparing actual to budget on a monthly basis.
Research items identified during preliminary review by Manager of Financial Reporting
Ability to perform a thorough review of balance sheet and income statement accounts - tasks to be performed include recommending/executing correcting entries, raising potential issues for discussion, identifying problem accounts, analyzing balances for accuracy and completeness and proposing accrual or deferral entries as appropriate
Prepare reports required for financial audits and management as needed
Maintain detailed and organized accounting records and perform special projects as needed
Run monthly Aging report and lead monthly collections meeting to document collections efforts on past due accounts
Handle special projects as needed for Accounts Receivable cleanup
Act as the Accounts Receivable Analyst for specified accounts and ensure aging is in the best status possible
Communicate with customers to reconcile accounts, resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
Manage and mentor 2 Accounts Receivable Clerks
Provide all backup and explanations for internal and external Audit requests
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Other duties as assigned


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of relevant accounting experience (Revenue Recognition, General Ledger and Accounts Receivable) required
Proficient with the use of ERP systems and ability to pull detail data to support account analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Excellent time management, project management and planning skills required.
Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Passionate and positive can-do attitude a must.


Multi-state manufacturing environment
Prior Epicor experience


Must be able to physically work in the headquarters location a minimum of two to three days per week.
