DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
This position shares parallel responsibility with the current Director of Admissions for the promotion of Le Régent and student recruitment. Whilst completing the administrative process that transforms candidates to a member of our school community, this position will also contribute to marketing efforts. A welcoming and friendly attitude that connects and embodies what makes this school special with international families is essential. This post is a combination between being campus based and travelling. This post will travel, but is primarily campus based. The position is non-residential but could be combined with a residential position for the right candidate.

THE POST
Key duties include:
Responsible for recruiting the target number of students
Organisation of promotion and recruitment events which includes travel
Responding to admissions enquiries
Advising candidates and their families throughout the admissions process
Organising campus visits and trial days for candidates
Ensuring that all necessary admissions documentation is provided
Organising and occasionally invigilating entrance tests
Requesting and checking school recommendations
Interviewing candidates and organising further interviews with school management
Ensuring that new students are effectively welcomed to begin their studies through effective collaboration with Academic and Administrative teams
Facilitating a seamless welcome for new students by collaborating with academic and administrative teams prior to arrival
Leveraging software (CRM, MIS, etc) to streamline administration and effective internal and external communication
Working with other members of school administration to ensure that official documentation for study in Switzerland is obtained (for overseas students)
Informing and advising members of the Direction (Senior Management Team) of trends and statistics
Contribution to the development of marketing and communication strategies
Relationship management with families and external stakeholders

Knowledge of the Swiss boarding school scene and Switzerland in general

Excellent level of English and a very good working knowledge of French

LE RÉGENT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Founded in 2015, Le Régent is a rapidly developing Swiss boarding and day school with an
international academic programme. Over 270 students from Switzerland and around the
world are educated in a modern campus in the heart of the Valais Alps in the attractive
and lively ski resort of Crans-Montana. Since 2019, Le Régent has been under the guidance of Institut Le Rosey - of which it is now officially a “sister school” (www.rosey.ch).

Le Régent follows a rigorous academic programme in English in preparation for the
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme while nurturing the individual
talents of each student with its diverse extracurricular offerings including sports, arts,
music and mountain activities.

Secondary students follow an adapted version of the UK curriculum and Le Régent’s own
Pre-IB programme, leading in some cases to IGCSEs and then the IB Diploma. Teaching
allocations are shared across the department and we would hope to appoint a candidate
able to teach at all secondary levels.

Academic expectations are high, class sizes are small and the international student and
teaching body ensures a diverse and stimulating classroom and school atmosphere. The
school’s exceptional location and outdoor education programme and the chance to ski
during the winter season are important attractions for both students and staff.

As a boarding school that welcomes day students, the successful candidate will have the positive outlook required to actively be part of a vibrant boarding community and provide a positive presence in the school. In particular, the candidate will have the drive to foster a love of learning allied with high academic standards.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES
