International Law firm based in Geneva and Zurich.

Job Description

  • Responsible for overall file maintenance regarding several active arbitration matters, including organising and filing documents and exhibits, preparing correspondence with the Tribunal and opposing counsel, managing time sensitive requests, and managing hard copy and electronic case documents, including the preparation of electronic and physical bundles.
  • Providing support to our international offices (incl. Geneva).
  • During the hearing, assisting the Partners and Counsels with their preparation of materials for each day of the hearing, including cross-examinations and witness bundles, whilst also completing various time-critical requests from members of the team.
  • Throughout the preparation and hearing, also acting as a liaison to our clients for the Partners and Associates
  • Working towards deadlines and assisting the team with filings of various submissions under arbitral institutions such as ICSID, ICC and PCA.
  • Carrying out pre-filing assistance, performing substantive cite-checking, extensive formatting, and proofreading of the submission documents and accompanying exhibits.
  • Liaising with and delegating to office support staff to ensure efficiency of workflow.
  • Carrying out various research tasks, providing up-to-date information on jurisdiction filings, rules, and procedures.
  • Drafting submissions for publications of journals and book chapters; participating and assisting in arbitration events; preparing presentations; and ad-hoc proof reading.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Law (Paralegal certification a strong plus).

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an international arbitration or litigation environment.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); command of French and German would be a strong asset.

  • Strong team player with the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and manage competing deadlines.
