Your Role:
As AI Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin within our newly established AI Center of Excellence (CoE), you will serve as a technical architect and contribute to build our private banking AI ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between high-level AI strategy and production-grade implementation, designing the core frameworks that power our Generative AI and Agentic initiatives.
Your Responsibilities:
-Design and implement complex AI workflows using state-of-the-art orchestration frameworks such as LiteLLM, n8n, LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI to support stateful, multi-turn interactions
-Manage the integration of multi-model environments into enterprise ecosystems, optimizing for latency, cost, and token usage
-Architect high-performance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases like pgvector, or Azure AI Search to enhance model accuracy with proprietary banking data
-Implement a "security-first" design for AI infrastructure, ensuring data residency, privacy compliance, and secure on-premises or private cloud LLM deployments
-Lead the development of production-grade AI agents for task automation, such as auto-healing code agents or intelligent document search assistants
-Define DevOps and MLOps standards, CI/CD pipelines for AI models, and automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability of AI in production
Your Profile
-University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
-Minimum 7 years of experience in software development and architecture, with a significant track record of delivering AI/ML solutions in complex, regulated environments (Finance, Insurance, or Healthcare)
-Expert-level knowledge of LLM integration, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning
-Highly proficient in Python, Java (Spring Boot), and/or Node.js
-Extensive experience with Cloud-native design (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and Serverless architectures
-Strong understanding of data architecture, including SQL, NoSQL, and the management of manufacturing or transactional process data
-Familiarity with OT/IT security, IAM/PAM architecture, and secure data-sharing governance
-Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage
