Job Description
- Lead SCADA/PLC modernization projects (iFIX/WinCC, Siemens TIA Portal) from design to commissioning.
- Manage virtualization initiatives: design, deploy, and maintain VMware ESXi infrastructures for OT systems.
- Coordinate supplier activities, schedules, and deliverables; drive project governance and stakeholder updates.
- Execute electrical revamping: review/update wiring and electrical schematics, support integration on the shopfloor.
- Plan and perform CSV/qualification activities (FA T/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ) in line with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, GMP.
- Maintain SCADA/industrial servers (e.g., SQL Server), implement backup strategies (e.g., CommVault) and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot automation issues on production equipment and coordinate corrective actions with operations/maintenance.
- Implement OT networking best practices: VLAN configuration, segmentation, and baseline cybersecurity hardening.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and change records; support CAPA and non-conformance handling.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and standardize templates/procedures to enhance reliability and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to site safety and quality policies; escalate risks and track mitigations.
The Successful Applicant
- 5-10+ years in automation/industrial IT within pharma/biotech or similarly regulated manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, and iFIX; exposure to Aveva/Wonderware is a plus.
- Proven experience with VMware/ESXi design, deployment, and lifecycle for OT environments.
- Confident reading/modifying electrical diagrams; practical experience in revamping and retrofit projects.
- Solid understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, segmentation) and OT cybersecurity practices.
- Demonstrated track record delivering supplier-led projects on time, within scope, and under GxP constraints.
- Fluent in CSV and qualification (FA T/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ); knowledgeable of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, GMP/BPF.
- Comfortable with SQL Server basics (maintenance plans, backups) and SCADA/server administration.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills; ability to operate on the shopfloor.
- Proactive, structured, and collaborative mindset; resilient in fast-paced production contexts.
- English required; French highly desirable
