Main Purpose
To run battery metals market analysis including the maintenance of supply and demand models in order to deliver timely market insights to the trading team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Detailed knowledge of commodity markets and their drivers
Mandatory to have a prior experience in commodity research, specifically in metals or bulks
Analytical mindset and critical thinking skills
Experience using data visualization tools and statistical data modeling software.
Highly competent in communicating complex concepts and good presentation skills
Strong technical skills. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are a requirement.
High preference for candidates with programming experience and a solid understanding of database concepts (Python and SQL; R, MATLAB or VBA beneficial)
Ability to work independently and proactively to deliver timely results
Fluency in English. The role is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Fluency in another foreign language a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Collating, analysing and interpreting data to produce commodity market insights
Building and maintaining supply and demand models – both regional and global across battery metals
Cost of production modelling and analysis
Metal consumption analysis and forecasting s
Trade flow analysis and other ad-hoc analysis that provides traders with what they need to know in order to get the best trading results
Deliver analysis that is relevant, timely, actionable

Competencies
Strong data processing and analysis skills
Strong communication skills (written & oral) to articulate complex concepts and express coherent insights to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to digest lots of information and manage one’s time effectively
Strong intrinsic interest in financial markets, geopolitical developments and a sound understanding of economic theory and cycles
Ability to work cohesively within a global team of analysts and traders
