Brand Planning Junior Planner - Europe

Temp assignment 6-9 months


Assist the Brand Planning Manager (BPM) or Planner (BPP) with administrative support to establish the optimum commercial assortment for the European region, whilst maximizing the financial plan and respecting the category/brand objectives and direction.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist BPM/BPP with administrative input into the strategic direction for the category/brand.

  • Collate information to assist in creating the pre-season financial category plan and translate this into a commercial line to support the strategy of the brand.

  • Effectively support BPM/BPP to partner with the European merchandising team in merchandise selection, design, development and allocation.

  • Assist BPM/BPP in ensuring accurate and timely line and calendar management for each season.

  • Provide any base work needed for line pricing and projections at country/style/colour level taking into account historical analysis, regional insights, market trends, business opportunities plus financial targets.

  • Support the BPM/BPP to partner with the regional teams and business units to minimize challenges and maximize business opportunities.

  • Undertake and assist in seasonal competitor pricing and market research.

  • Assist BPM in collating and analyzing information for line openings/brand days/post market teardowns.

  • Help analyze brand/category performance via regular reporting and suggest recommendations to minimize exposure and maximize the business.

  • Ensure delivery of timely and accurate reporting.

  • Continuously partner with other departments such as sales, supply chain, visual merchandizing and marketing to leverage processes, maximize sales, profit, inventory ownership and elevate overall brand representation.

  • Actively gather, analyze and share industry/category trends. Report on activities and recommendations that relate to the category/brand.

  • Help senior management build a high-performing team by executing team objectives, targets and standards.

  • Work effectively and efficiently within the team and with all interfaces within the company.

  • Execute any ad hoc duties as required by the BPM/BPP.


Prerequisite Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in business, management or a fashion related subject.

  • Minimum 0-3 years wholesale/retail fashion experience in a similar environment/category a plus.

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office in particular Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Team player, results driven, detail orientated, ability to multi-task.

  • Affinity and passion for the brand/category and industry.

  • Fluent in reading, speaking and writing in English. Other languages a plus.
