We are a service company operating at the Zurich and Geneva airports and a subsidiary of Swissport International Ltd.

 

We are looking for a

MARKET DEVELOPMENT & SALES MANAGER - MATCHBOX SOLUTIONS  (M/F/D)

FULLTIME | CHECKPORT ZURICH AIRPORT

START I UPON AGREEMENT

YOUR MISSION

In this role you will be representing Matchbox Solutions towards leading aviation industry stakeholders such as DCS providers, IATA, SITA, kiosk and self-service kiosk manufacturers etc. You are acting as the primary ambassador positioning Matchbox as the industry reference for travel document validation.


 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive the commercial rollout and sales of a market-leading airline software solution to international airline customers
    • Build and manage long-term senior-level relationships with airlines, aviation IT providers, and strategic industry partners
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline across global aviation markets
    • Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations, negotiations, and contract closings
    • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align customer needs with solution development

 


YOUR PROFILE


    • University degree in business administration, aviation management, information systems or a comparable qualification
    • Proven track record in sales or business development within the aviation industry, ideally in Airline-IT or DCS environments
    • Strong understanding of airline operations, passenger processing, regulatory frameworks and IATA standards, with experience representing a company in international forums and standardization bodies
    • Established professional network across airlines, DCS providers, IATA, SITA and aviation technology partners, with willingness to travel occasionally (up to approx. 20%)
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages are an asset), combined with strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
