Description

The Core Banking Systems Manager is responsible for the analysis, localization, configuration, and ongoing support of Corefinans, the in-house developed core banking software built within the Group, Nexent Bank NV, Netherlands, being used in multiple countries and banks. This role requires a solid understanding of the system’s architecture, including Product-Based Modeling, PRM (Parametrization), POT (Product Tree), and the associated workflow structures. The manager will collaborate closely with the development team based in the Netherlands, working in an agile environment to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and oversee post-production validations. Key responsibilities include configuring the system to meet both business and regulatory requirements, managing user access and roles, and delivering daily support to end users while driving sustainable, long-term solutions. The role also involves managing integrations with third-party systems such as financial and regulatory reporting tools, and working closely with the reporting team to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency. Given the small size of the bank, the manager is also expected to provide minimal but effective day-to-day IT helpdesk support to users when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and localize the in-house developed Corefinans core banking system to meet business and regulatory requirements;
Work closely with the Netherlands-based development team in an agile setting to translate business needs into technical requirements;
Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform post-production validations;
Configure the core banking system using PRM, POT, and workflow tools;
Manage user access controls and define system roles;
Provide daily support to end users and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues;
Design integrations with third-party systems including financial and regulatory reporting tools;
Collaborate with the reporting team for generating new reports and ensure integrity;
Support day-to-day IT helpdesk tasks including troubleshooting user issues, basic system administration, and resolving hardware/software problems.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science;
Previous knowledge and experience with Corefinans;
10+ years of experience in banking and finance IT Business or Functional Analyst Positions as a manager;
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and Macros;
Previous experience in IT helpdesk support and basic troubleshooting;
General knowledge of IT infrastructure including firewalls, mail security, and networking;
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products and ability to guide users in leveraging Copilot for efficiency.
