CONTEXT
As a key player in Richemont-s data and AI transformation journey, we are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Manager to support the enablement of our Maisons, Functions, Divisions and Regions in their capacity to manage and leverage their data securely, autonomously and at scale.
Reporting to the Head of Data Enablement, the Data Governance Manager, will play a crucial role in implementing our group-s data governance framework and ensuring its application and adoption across all entities of the organisation, fostering a data-driven mindset and enabling business value creation.

The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for formalizing data governance policies, procedures and standards, driving the implementation of data governance tools and supporting our businesses in ensuring data is effectively managed, accessible, trusted, secured, and utilized on the group-s platforms.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- In line with the Group-s Data Strategy, ensure alignment of the enterprise-wide data governance framework in a Federation of Expertise approach with business organisation and ensure its implementation and roll-out across the Group.
- Ensure availability and promote consumption of trustworthy and compliant data to all employees by federating data ownership across business teams. -
- Lead and coordinate the data governance team in delivering on strategic milestones on concrete and high value data governance initiatives and ensure the highest level of service on our data governance service offering and capabilities.
- Support and collaborate with all Group Data Office members (Program Managers, Product Owners, Analytics Enablement, Data Science & AI) on our enablement missions by defining the governance standards required on our technical foundations and within our Maisons, Functions and Regions.
- In collaboration with Group Technology, drive the implementation and ensure the maintenance of data governance tools (access management, quality, data documentation-).
- Collaborate with-all major stakeholders (Group Cyber Security, Group HR, Group Legal, Group Finance and relevant entities) in defining robust governance policies protecting our data, and support in auditing the enforcement of said policies, ensuring compliance and security.
- Assist Maisons, Functions and Regions in their data transformation journey by defining roles and responsibilities, and data mapping by domain ensuring business and technical data ownership across our systems and through the entire data lifecycle. Ensure clear ownership and accountability for stewardship of the company-s data assets, including access management rules, data classification, data documentation and quality requirements.
- Animate a Group-wide community of data governance stakeholders (Data Domain Leads, Data Owners, Data Stewards etc..) to promote collaboration, share best practices and foster a data-driven mindset.
- Support and empower-Maisons and Goup Functions to take full ownership of their data, leveraging standardized processes, unified governance tools and up-to-date policies.
- Communicate clearly with Maisons, Functions and Regions on data governance related activities in a practical and business relevant manner, considering both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support business stakeholders in their data transformation journey by guiding their initiatives in alignment with the foundational governance activities and providing training and support on data governance principles and practices
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCESS WITH US?
- Master-s degree in computer science, data or related fields to support Data Governance.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, within large organisations.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to assist in managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and management skills to drive the data governance team and engage with cross-functional teams and top management stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles and processes, including data access management, data quality and documentation (DAMA certification is a plus).
- Experience in data governance tools and their implementation at scale (experience with Google Cloud governance solutions, Monte Carlo, DataHub, Saviynt is a plus).
- Strong awareness and understanding regulatory requirements for data protection and security (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act etc-).
- Technical understanding of data engineering and IT principles, cloud computing, data modelling, CI/CD, Agile delivery. Experience with GCP (BigQuery/Looker), dbt, SQL, Python is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all business units and all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated skills relative to change management concepts and strategies, communication, culture change and ability to measure key milestones.
- English speaking, French is a plus.
