bloomUp, working alongside its partner Re.Events, is seeking a Data Manager Consultant for a mission with a major international sports organisation.

We are seeking an exceptional Data Manager Consultant to support a major international sports organisation (client confidentiality maintained) in defining and implementing their data strategy and data management framework for large-scale sports event operations.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Data Strategy Development: Implement comprehensive data strategies to support the organisation and optimisation of international sports games operations
- Department Structure & Priorities: Refine the data department's role, organisational structure, and strategic priorities
- Internal Communication & Engagement: Design and deploy communication materials and engagement frameworks to promote data initiatives across the organisation
- Project Acceleration: Lead various missions to accelerate data team deliverables and ensure timely implementation.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE:
- International Sports Operations Background: Proven experience within an international sports organisation specifically focused on data-driven operations for major international sporting events
- Deep Sports Event & Data Expertise: Strong understanding of both sports event management challenges and data strategy implications at the operational level
- Elite Tech Company Experience: Background in data management and AI within top-tier technology companies (Microsoft, Google, or equivalent)
- Senior Project Management: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing data, AI, and IT projects at a senior level
- Mandarin Chinese Fluency: Native or bilingual proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin), in addition to fluency in English, with strong work experience in China to facilitate project implementation with the client's Chinese partner organisations
- Sport Management Education: Master’s degree in Sports Management from a globally recognised sports management program with strong links to international federations, Olympic bodies, or major sport events
