To provide daily support to the Head of Change Portfolio –Wealth Europe and the Head of EMEA Technology & Global Avaloq Platform, for the day-to-day management in the areas of planning, financial forecasting, resource management, risk management, governance, quality and management information for communication/Coordination on behalf of the EMEA Change portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

·         Be the primary point of contact for overall Change Portfolio queries and status

·         Support for Change Portfolio as a whole including various board & committee meetings, maintenance of logs, meeting schedules, CRAID logs, quality logs, financials, document management, creation & management of templates.

·         Facilitate/co-ordinate the regular generation of portfolio wide status reports including Senior Management reporting.

·         Maintain and actively track to completion portfolio level risks and issues.

·         Coordination across the Projects within the Portfolio.

·         Processes & procedures using PMO best practice.  Documentation & communication & maintenance of those procedures.

·         Implement quality review process for projects.

·         Facilitate the Small Change Business Prioritisation and coordination forum.


The above accountabilities will change over time and as this part of setting up a Programme wide PMO flexibility will be required with the level of work done (i.e. sometimes it will be strategic level, sometime very much rolling up sleeves and groundwork.  Depending on workload the above accountabilities will be shared across the team with owners assigned depending on priority and skill set).


Stakeholder Management and Leadership

The right candidate will possess excellent stakeholder, presentation and analytical skills gained in a Wealth Management environment.  The role holder will be the main conduit to the Central Wealth PMO and governance forums and will be required to ensure adherence to Group Governance processes across the projects and programmes within our Portfolios.  The role holder will also be expected to support the Head of Change Portfolio – Wealth Europe and the Head of EMEA Technology and Global Avaloq Platform in communications and documentation for senior management forums (such as Wealth OpCo; Wealth Delivery Forums etc).


The role holder is expected to co-ordinate with other PMO resource based in India, supporting the portfolio of change.


Decision-making and Problem Solving

The role holder will be required to have a positive can do attitude, combined with strong attention to detail and an awareness of current market issues, to help facilitate decisions taken by key stakeholders and governance forums.  The candidate should have solid experience of running complex Project Management Office, ideally within a Financial Institution, and is commensurate with matrix management across Global teams.  The ability to influence decisions across key stakeholders and governance forums by representing the management information for the portfolio in a coherent and logical way is required.  The role holder will also be required to analyse financial forecasts and actual for the projects within the portfolio.



Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
