Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Motion ControlJoin our Web-Fed Solutions teamWithin the Services & Performance Business Unit, we offer you the opportunity to join our Web-Fed Solutions Field Technician Pool as a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Motion Control. This is a permanent, 100% position based at our site in Mex (VD), our headquarters and center of excellence. This position is aimed at a professional passionate about complex industrial environments, capable of working autonomously on high-tech production lines. You will be required to travel between 50% and 60% of your time, often on assignments lasting several consecutive weeks.MISSION- Carry out the commissioning of production lines in Switzerland and abroad.- Perform retrofit interventions on new and existing equipment.- Plan and organize commissioning assignments on-site autonomously.- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in motion control, electricity, and industrial automation.- Program, modify, and optimize systems using Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens S7.- Commission and parameterize drive systems and synchronized axes.- Perform troubleshooting interventions at the client site or remotely.- Coordinate technical activities with client teams.- Validate equipment performance and contribute to their acceptance.- Train maintenance and production teams.- Ensure structured reporting to Project Managers and Technical Support.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products through feedback.PROFILE- HES Engineer, ES Technician, or equivalent in electrical engineering or automation.- Mastery of Siemens TIA Portal & Siemens S7.- Knowledge of drive systems and industrial automation.- Proven experience in reading electrical diagrams, industrial troubleshooting, and commissioning electrical cabinets.- Mastery of Windows environments and office solutions.- Good level of English (B2) for technical exchanges and client interactions.- Excellent analytical and root cause analysis skills.- Autonomous, organized, and client-oriented.- Ability to work for several weeks at a client site in an international environment.- Ability to request internal support appropriately when necessary.- Driver's license B.ENVIRONMENT- Siemens (TIA Portal, S7)- Motion Control Solutions: Bosch Rexroth, Siemens Sinamics- Baumüller, Nidec, Schneider Electric, and other suppliers- Siemens industrial PCs- Production lines generally integrating 30 to 100 synchronized axesWE OFFER- A position within an experienced team.- Comprehensive training on our products and projects.- Great technical diversity between commissioning, retrofitting, and troubleshooting.- Great autonomy and concrete responsibilities.- Evolution perspectives.- Opportunity to work with clients and cultures from around the world.- With over 130 years of history and presence in more than 50 countries, we are at the forefront of innovation, and we want to accelerate connectivity, digitalization, and sustainability to make the packaging world more efficient.
