Within the Services & Performance Business Unit, we offer you the opportunity to join our Web-Fed Solutions External Fitters Pool as a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control.
This is a permanent full-time position based at our Mex (VD) site, headquarters and production centre.
This position is aimed at a professional passionate about complex industrial environments, capable of working independently on highly technological automated production lines. You will be required to travel internationally between 50% and 60% of your time, often on assignments lasting several consecutive weeks.

YOUR MISSION

• Commission automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally.
• Carry out retrofit, modernisation and improvement interventions on existing installations.
• Plan and organise commissioning activities on site independently.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in automation, motion control, electrical engineering and industrial IT.
• Program, modify and optimise automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens S7.
• Commission and configure drive systems and synchronised axes.
• Perform troubleshooting interventions on client sites or remotely.
• Coordinate technical activities with client teams.
• Validate equipment performance and contribute to their final acceptance.
• Train maintenance and production teams.
• Provide structured reporting to Project Managers and Technical Support.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products through field feedback.

YOUR PROFILE

• HES Engineer, ES Technician or equivalent training in automation, electrical engineering or mechatronics.
• Excellent command of Siemens TIA Portal & Siemens S7.
• Good knowledge of drive systems, inverters and axis synchronisation.
• Proven experience in reading electrical diagrams, industrial troubleshooting and commissioning electrical cabinets.
• Proficient in Windows environments and virtualisation solutions.
• Good level of English (B2) for technical exchanges and client training.
• Excellent analytical skills and root cause investigation.
• Autonomous, organised and results-oriented.
• Ability to work several weeks at a client site in an international environment.
• Ability to seek internal support appropriately when necessary.
• Category B driving licence.
