Job Description
Based in Geneva, as part of a global team, your role as Finance Controller will include the following duties for determined scope of companies including the Netherlands:
Assisting the Finance Group Co-Controller with the review and monitoring of all key financial movements to ensure correct and complete information is reflected in the Group financial statements
Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in compliance with Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
Analyse financial data and provide key insights to senior management
Keeping up with technical accounting principles to ensure that all reporting requirements are met and implemented effectively, implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
Analytical review of the balance sheet and P&L accounts
Manage the entire audit process, including liaising with external auditors
Ensure compliance with all local tax law, statutory requirements, CBS reporting and internal controls
Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and efficiency across the region
Assisting in the continuous development and improvement of processes and procedures to ensure the provision of timely and accurate financial information
Liaising with other team members in Geneva, Rotterdam, Poland, Romania and internationally when needed. Expect to regularly travel to our Rotterdam office and other locations.
Assisting in completing ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior management
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Group Co-Controller

Qualifications
Master’s degree in accounting, control and finance. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, auditing, controlling or consolidation functions, ideally within a Big 5, consulting firm and / or commodity trading company
Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills, and excellent attention to detail
Strong knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, Dutch tax laws and consolidation process
Entrepreneurial drive, good organisation skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
High level of ownership, results-oriented, proactive, flexible and committed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders
Full English and Dutch proficiency to communicate in a business context (verbally & in writing)
