MISSION OF THE FUNCTION
Assist and support Finance Management in all financial matters including Financial Planning, monitoring and analysis
Act as a business partner across the DMTR business unit

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Monthly close activities:
Preparation of accruals file and sending instructions to sales
Review /challenge and consolidate back up of accruals
Prepare Journal entries to be sent to Accounting Shared service center
Variance analysis of actual costs versus budget and forecast (off discount, coop, trade advertising…) to be reviewed with Business Controller

Weekly reporting: Work with Market team to anticipate any risk/opportunities compared to last forecast / budget.

Financial Analysis: analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements, focusing on improving gross margin

2.Financial Planning
Rolling Forecast / Latest View Process: help manage the updated financial outlook process:
Support markets in their timely data inputs to the Financial Planning tool.
Coordinate & enter cost center updates to the Planning tool.
Load to Planning Tool.

Budget: Work with Markets, Marketing & Supply Chain teams to prepare budget. Support the markets with their data inputs to the Budgeting tool. Analyze data submissions at sales, support and overhead level to ensure reasonability & target delivery.

S&OP: support financial data requirements for the S&OP.

Leadership presentation: prepare for regular leadership reviews. High exposure to top management, requiring strong rigor and communication skills.

Insight (Oracle B.I.)
Hyperion planning tool

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Language: English, French an asset

IT skills: Excellent Excel skills are mandatory. Database or Extraction tool knowledge an advantage (such as Access or Business Objects/Insight)

Financial systems: Data Mining (Data Warehouse), Hyperion and JDE

Ability to streamline processes and passion to learn and grow

High communication skills, team-player,

Ability to hand in multiple tasks, to work independently and to respect deadlines

Strong analytical and data gathering skills; ability to interpret P&L’s and understand other related financial processes

Travel requirements: occasional

QUALIFICATIONS
Finance /Accounting university graduate
A minimum of 2-5 years of business finance or other relevant experience is required, preferably within a consumer goods company, in retail environment
Experience in audit is an advantage
An international background is a must
