Job Description

The Financial Controller will assist the CFO in controlling financial processes, coordinating reporting, and consolidating financial data from various entities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and improving financial processes.
  • Managing quarterly reporting for multiple entities.
  • Supervising accounting processes such as AP, AR, GL, VAT, taxes, payroll, and petty cash.
  • Conducting intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Executing intercompany re-invoicing via the head office.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with affiliate accounting departments.
  • Providing support and training to local accounting colleagues.
  • Creating and implementing common accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Identifying and proposing continuous improvements to financial processes and ERP systems.
  • Preparing short business plans for new capital expenditures.
  • Ensuring compliance with company rules and policies (QHSE, ETHICS, FCPA).

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial control.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Experience in supervising and training accounting teams.
  • Ability to travel to various regions as required (10-25%).
