The role sits at the heart of product governance for a large-scale gaming platform, covering fan engagement products (fantasy games, predictor games, quizzes, gamification) reaching millions of users across Europe.
This is not a hands-on development role. It is a product leadership and delivery governance position, working at the intersection of external development agencies, architecture teams, business stakeholders, and data teams.

- Align delivery plans with broader digital product priorities and platform strategy
- Identify risks, dependencies and trade-offs early in the process
- Facilitate prioritisation discussions between business, technology and delivery stakeholders
- Provide regular roadmap updates and delivery status reports to senior stakeholders
- Balance business priorities with long-term platform scalability, sustainability and operational resilience

- Define clear scopes, briefs, milestones and delivery expectations
- Challenge supplier estimates, statements of work, change requests and commercial proposals
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed objectives, timelines and quality standards
- Coordinate activities across multiple suppliers and internal teams
Product Requirements & Execution Planning
- Translate business and product needs into clear, actionable functional, technical and non-functional requirements
- Ensure all teams share a consistent understanding of scope, timelines and expected outcomes
- Review and validate proposed solutions before development begins
- Integrate security, privacy and operational requirements from the planning phase onwards
Technical Integration Coordination
- Act as the primary product counterpart to architecture and engineering teams
- Coordinate integrations with: authentication services, analytics platforms, marketing technology, data services, game SDKs, CMS, web & app platforms, and monitoring tools
- Challenge proposed technical solutions without being a hands-on developer
- Identify integration, scalability and security risks early
Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work within an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban): backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, dependency management
- Manage blockers, escalate risks and drive resolution plans
- Support release governance and production readiness activities
- Champion Agile best practices across suppliers and stakeholders
Product Performance & Optimisation
- Define and track product KPIs (engagement, conversion, retention) alongside technical KPIs (performance, stability, availability)
- Analyse user data to surface improvement opportunities
- Benchmark gaming products against industry standards and competitor offerings
- Drive experimentation and data-driven optimisation initiatives
Launch Readiness & Operational Support
- Coordinate go-live plans and launch readiness checks
- Prepare for high-traffic periods (tournaments, match nights)
- Support incident management and post-incident reviews
- Drive deployment plans, rollback plans and operational readiness activities
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Build strong relationships across product, technology, marketing and agency teams
