Purpose of the job
The Head of Sport Information and Digital Innovation will lead the development and transformation of the ICF’s sport information systems and digital platforms. Based in Lausanne and reporting directly to the Secretary General, the role carries a broader remit across the organisation’s digital touchpoints, playing a central role in advancing the ICF’s overall digital transformation.
This position is responsible for delivering innovative, integrated solutions for managing performance data (competitions, results, rankings, officiating systems, and analytics) as well as editorial and engagement platforms (website, CMS, CRM and eLearning, amongst others) across all ICF departments and streams of work. The successful candidate will also lead cross-departmental digital initiatives, ensuring user-focused design, operational excellence, and full alignment with Olympic and Paralympic Games standards. This is a pivotal role in positioning the ICF as a global leader in digital innovation across the paddlesport ecosystem.

Primary tasks and responsibilities
Lead the ICF’s long-term digital transformation and innovation strategy.
- Lead the strategy, development, and implementation of all ICF Digital Platforms including sport information, content management and community engagement.
- Build and evolve a unified ICF sport data platform that supports a world-class data lake, results, rankings and performance data infrastructure across all disciplines.
- Oversee the design and implementation of a centralised system that supports accurate, timely, and professional reporting of sport event outcomes and rankings.
- Collaborate with the Events and IT teams to ensure standardised data collection and processing at all ICF competitions.
- Support discipline-specific innovation projects such as officiating tools, e-learning systems, and technical evaluation platforms.
- Ensure all digital sport systems are aligned with ICF regulations and Olympic and Paralympic Games requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners for software development and data solutions.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical documentation for users across national federations and organising committees.
- Work with the Anti-Doping and Classification team to ensure accurate sport data integration with ITA systems.

Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness and performance of sport information and digital tools.
- Undertake special projects or tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or the Secretary General.

Other tasks
- The employee is also required to perform additional tasks as instructed by their supervisor, provided such tasks fall within the scope of their responsibilities or are reasonably assigned based on their knowledge, qualifications, or business considerations.

Education and Qualification requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital innovation or sport information management, preferably within an Olympic or Paralympic organisation.
- Proven experience in leading technical or digital projects, ideally in competition data or athlete management.
- Familiarity with Olympic and Paralympic Games sport data standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and digital collaboration tools.
- Strong command of English; additional languages (e.g. French, German) are an asset.
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland or willingness to relocate.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for digital transformation in sport.
- Deep understanding of sport data systems, analytics, and technical innovation.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Comfortable working across diverse systems, partners, and cultures.
