Job Description
Labour Relations & Legal Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Swiss labour law, internal regulations, collective agreements, and conventions.
- Draft, manage, and update employment contracts and related HR documentation.
- Lead complex employee relations cases, including negotiations, conflict mediation, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and arbitration processes.
- Represent the organisation in interactions with labour authorities and legal bodies.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update internal policies accordingly.
- Oversee occupational health and safety compliance.
- Provide expert HR and legal guidance to managers and senior leaders.
- Support activities linked to insurance cases and pension fund processes.
- Lead restructuring activities, ensuring compliance, transparency, and fair treatment.
HR Governance, Risk & Audit
- Implement and maintain internal HR governance standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee HR-related regulatory reporting and ensure accuracy.
- Manage internal and external HR audits and act as the key risk owner for HR-related matters.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate labour-related legal and compliance risks.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are continuously updated and properly controlled.
Internal Investigations & Conflict Management
- Lead internal conflict resolution processes with a confidential, objective, and timely approach.
- Serve as the primary HR lead for investigations involving whistleblowing, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or ethical concerns.
- Conduct or oversee sensitive investigations with integrity and proper documentation.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions to evaluate potential exposure and determine appropriate actions.
- Recommend corrective or disciplinary measures to senior leadership based on investigation outcomes.
- Analyse trends in workplace complaints and propose preventive initiatives.
- Train and guide managers on conflict prevention, early intervention, and escalation protocols.
HR Projects & Operational Excellence
- Lead key HR projects across multiple locations, ensuring successful delivery on time and within scope.
- Promote continuous improvement of HR processes and data accuracy.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including enhancements to HR systems and the implementation of new benefits schemes.
The Successful Applicant
- 8+ years of senior HR experience with strong exposure to labour relations in international or matrix environments.
- A law degree (Swiss law preferred) or a Master's in Human Resources.
- Deep knowledge of Swiss labour law and familiarity with global HR compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience managing investigations, whistleblowing cases, and sensitive ER issues.
- Experience in banking or multinational organisations is a strong asset.
- Strong command of HRIS tools, ideally Workday.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Fluency in French, English, and Spanish.
- Already based in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
