Description
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the ink development team, promoting ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
- Drive formulation, testing, and troubleshooting of inkjet ink products using strong chemical and application expertise
- Use data-driven insights to propose product and process improvements
- Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure on-time delivery aligned with business goals
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Sales to meet market and technical needs
- Maintain strong communication with customers and suppliers, managing relationships and regulatory compliance
- Support smooth lab-to-production transfers, including audits and scale-up activities.
- Oversee lab safety and chemical systems, contributing to company-wide compliance efforts
- Promote and implement new technologies and methodologies (e.g., DOE) to enhance development
- Source advanced raw materials in collaboration with suppliers
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in ink development, inkjet formulation, or related R&D functions
- Experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional projects
- Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internal and external
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, customer audits, and production handover processes
- Inkjet background is a plus
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of chemical safety, lab-scale operations, and HSE systems
- Experience working with customers and suppliers.
- Proficiency in German and English
