Jr Legal Counsel - Trading

An internatioanl energy, trading & commodities company.

Key responsabilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements related to trading, logistics, and business operations.
Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial, operations, and finance teams on contractual and regulatory matters.
Assist with compliance, KYC, and onboarding procedures to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
Support the management of contractual disputes, insurance claims, and operational issues arising from trading activities.
Conduct legal research and regulatory monitoring to support risk management and business decision-making.

Successful candidate:

Master's degree in Law from a reputable university, ideally with a focus on International Trade Law, Maritime Law, Commercial Law, or related disciplines.
2 year's of relevant professional experience gained within a commodity trading company, shipping organization, or a law firm advising clients in the commodities sector.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential, additional languages are considered an asset.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across different functions and jurisdictions.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
Highly organized, proactive, and capable of performing in a demanding and fast-moving environment.
