Description
For a fully laboratory-based role within a multidisciplinary environment, we are seeking a Laboratory Technician for a temporary assignment. The position involves working within a diverse team of experts in analytical method development, chemistry, materials science, and reagent production, collaborating closely to bridge R&D, operations, and clinical application
Responsibilities
• Lot Production & Execution: Take accountability for R&D BGE Lab Lot production, including the planning, preparation, and implementation of reagent batches
• Testing & Analysis: Perform rigorous testing of formulations and raw materials to ensure consistency and performance
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise documentation of the experiments and lab lots and communicate progress effectively to project and line managers
• Laboratory Management: Support daily lab operations, including inventory management for consumables and the maintenance/servicing of laboratory infrastructure
• Process Improvement: Assist in establishing new raw materials and refining methods for manufacturing, testing, and packaging
• Presentation: Prepare and present technical data and test designs to the wider R&D team
Profile
• Completed an apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician specializing in Chemistry or, Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Life Sciences (Chemistry or related field)
• Strong fundamental knowledge of inorganic and/or organic chemistry with hands-on skills in solution preparation
• Proven experience in the analysis of chemicals (analytical balance readings- pippette) and complex chemical solutions(Calibrator solutions)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to network across R&D, Operations, and Quality Control teams
