Job Description
- Lead all maintenance and inspection activities on storage tanks, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and safety compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and subcontractors on tank-related work.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on all work permits for external providers.
- Monitor progress planning, daily reporting, and coordination of technical tasks.
- Review technical documents, procedures, methods, and execution plans for compliance.
- Organise and oversee cleaning, inspection, welding, piping, rotating equipment, coating, civil works, and instrumentation works.
- Manage co-activity risks and operational constraints while proposing effective solutions.
- Draft tender documents for painting and coating projects.
- Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure strict adherence to safety rules, work permits, lock-out/tag-out, safety analyses, and site regulations.
- Validate end-of-work documentation, including checklists and quality records.
- Oversee material and equipment deliveries and ensure final site cleanliness.
- Maintain continuous on-site presence during tank activities to monitor performance and resolve issues promptly.
The Successful Applicant
- Technical diploma in industrial maintenance.
- Specialization in pressure equipment or petroleum assets is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, ideally in oil & gas or major shutdown environments.
- Strong technical understanding of storage tanks/
- Proficiency in welding, NDT methods, sealing technologies, and inspection practices.
- Strong digital skills (ERP systems, MS Project).
- Ability to lead projects, troubleshoot site issues, and deliver solutions efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in French; ability to interpret technical documentation in English.
- Experience working in SEVESO or other high-risk industrial environments.
- Knowledge of construction and inspection standards (API 653, EEMUA).
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, diplomatic, and capable of maintaining strong contractor relationships.
