By virtue of being part of a small team, able to make a meaningful impact and contribution to the efficiencies of the operations and effectively mitigate business risk of the firm’s activities. Under the oversight of the Business Operations Manager as part of a small dedicated team of 5 focused on the middle/ back office tasks for the firm’s funds products and private clients.

Key tasks include:
  • Supporting the daily middle/ back office operations - to include working with the custodians, the brokers, the administrator and the fund managers as well as tracking the corporate action, hedging activities and supporting FX forward activities. 
  • Work with the Business Operations Manager in the oversight of the operational service levels and performance of the funds custodians and administrators.
  • Assist the team in the management of the asset master database including developing techniques to enhance the maintenance and quality of data used in the investment and reporting process.
  • Undertake regular reconciliation and resolution processes of the funds and private client accounts. 
  • Undertake various analysis of the funds and client portfolios.
  • Work side by side with the most senior member of this team, in order to help lead the rest of the team and offer them mentoring and guidance as well as discipline.
  • Work closely with the Business Operations Manager in managing the activities of the outsourced IT platform supplier, as well well as in assessing and pro-actively responding to market and regulatory changes that may impact the effectiveness of the operating model.

Profile:
  • Around 8-10 years’ experience in middle/ back office processes
  • Preference will be given to individuals with experience covering the UCITS funds, off-shore funds with global securities/global markets exposure (emerging debt)
  • Knowledge of the securities industry best practices and related tools ie ISITC/STP protocols, OMEGO/ Euroclear/ DTCC a plus
  • Comfortable in the technology space from an operational point of view - able to translate the needs of the Business to IT etc
  • Able to bring leadership qualities and instil discipline/lead by example etc
  • Experience ideally gained in a small structure, or able to quickly adapt to one
  • Strong project management skills and a effective team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure, happy to "muck-in"
  • Strong MS Office and Bloomberg skills required
  • Fluent English and French - both a must
