Start date: ASAP | Contract: Full-time/Project-based
Are you a driven Process and Project Engineer motivated by complex utilities and infrastructure projects? Join Techfirm Industrial Services and help deliver critical systems within a leading chemical and biopharma site in Visp. Use your technical expertise to shape the backbone of an advanced manufacturing campus.
Your Role
As a Process and Project Engineer – Black Utilities, you'll support the planning, construction, and start-up of infrastructure units and plants. Bring together project ideas, regulatory requirements, and guidelines into effective, approved solutions—and ensure flawless execution through handover.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting feasibility and conceptual studies for infrastructure projects, from idea verification to internal approval
- Driving plant/unit design with internal and external partners through to successful start-up
- Coordinating cross-discipline engineering partners (including E/I&C, civil, HVAC, 3D, fire protection, and field/construction)
- Supporting 3D coordination, resolving design collisions, and ensuring seamless integration
- Managing commissioning, acceptance testing, and project documentation up to system handover to end users
- Ensuring work aligns with regulations and internal project standards
- Tackling additional tasks as demanded by the global engineering team
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 3+ years’ experience in project engineering, planning, construction, or start-up for chemical, pharma, or biopharma plants
- Proven skills in either CAPEX engineering or Operations Engineering, ideally in regulated industries
- Excellent communication and teamwork; able to thrive in multidisciplinary and complex settings
- Structured, precise, and independent working style
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
