Current Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Procurement & Finance Support Specialist (m/f/d) – 80% on behalf of one of our clients in Basel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Work closely with local teams (Finance, Outsourcing, Legal, Clinical, CMC, Preclinical) and liaise with global teams (Procurement, Master Data, Accounts Payable).
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Create Purchase Orders (POs), follow up on POs and invoices, support vendor creation and onboarding.
  • User Support: Act as first point of contact for local users regarding procurement and finance processes, answer questions and perform checks in systems (SmartSource, CORA).
  • Documentation: Draft and maintain guidelines and SOPs for procurement and finance workflows.
  • Training: Provide onboarding and training for new users at Viatris Innovation, and maintain regular communication with all users to ensure alignment and best practices in procurement processes.Administrative Tasks: General administrative support related to procurement, outsourcing and finance
  • Finance Support (TBC): Assist with monthly accruals and basic reporting tasks.
  • Special Project: support the ongoing procurement and finance transition that started in 2025

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Experience in accounts payable/receivable, accounting, or procurement (preferred); familiarity with procurement software (CORA, Coupa) and/or SAP.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (mandatory); knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: > 6 months (incl. internships and apprenticeships), previous experience in a pharmaceutical company is a plus.
  • Education: Kaufmännischer Betrieb, Federal Diploma, Technician Diploma in accounting, procurement, or business administration ; practical experience is valued.
  • Soft Skills: Service-oriented, quick learner, logical, disciplined, detail-oriented, comfortable with administrative tasks.
