Job Description

Your Mission

Are you a talented and passionate Product Designer with a strong frontend and UX engineering mindset, looking for an exciting opportunity in the realm of online marketplaces? Join our dynamic team of 7 designers, 4 researchers and UX writers and help shape the future of the most well-known car marketplace in Switzerland within a product team.
We're searching for a data-driven and user-centric designer to make the AutoScout24 car search and selling user experience even more exciting!

Specifically, you will:

  • Leverage data and user research insights to define problems to solve, inform design decisions and create highly desirable and consistent user experiences
  • Act as a bridge between product, research, and engineering—translating ideas into tangible experiences by creating interactive prototypes and leveraging frontend or no-code tools to validate concepts through testing and live experiments
  • Own the end-to-end user journey within a product area—from early discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity design and implementation, ensuring a cohesive experience across devices and continuous improvement through experimentation
  • Lead and contribute to complex, cross-functional product initiatives, including collaboration on our evolving design system and component library. Bring a holistic thinking mindset to ensure alignment between design, code, and product vision
  • Work in an agile environment, balancing discovery and delivery in a fast-paced continuous cycle, matching desirability and feasibility in our technical environments
  • Prepare, run, and analyse usability tests (independently and with research support). Apply findings to iterate quickly and validate hypotheses, reducing risk through experimentation
  • Stay current with how AI is transforming UX and development workflows—integrating the use of AI, no-code/low-code tools, and automation into your daily practice

Your responsibilities will evolve as we grow.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the ride?

  • Proven experience as a Product or UX Designer, with a focus on online marketplaces or related fields as a plus and knowledge of the most well-known UX methodologies
  • Proficiency in UI design and rapid prototyping of scalable solutions using Figma and other tools. Experience in building design system components
  • Confidence in using AI and no-code tools (e.g. Bubble.io, Lovable, Figma AI, Bolt…), CMS like WordPress and a solid understanding of programming fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JS, and most known frontend frameworks) is a strong plus
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in UX design, and having launched digital products and user-centric solutions
  • Previous experience in designing for optimising funnel conversion rate using data from different sources and A/B testing
  • Confidence in conducting user research (usability testing, interviews…) and leveraging insights to drive design decisions, also according to best practices and heuristics
  • Adept at collaborating and facilitating workshops in cross-functional teams along with product managers, developers and marketeers
  • Comfortable with taking and giving feedback, presenting projects and advocating for the value of UX and design work
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • German, French, Italian language skills are a plus
