The opportunity : Product Manager, Wealth & Premier Solutions

The role is part of the Product Management team who manage the Private Banking product proposition throughout the entire Product Lifecycle in Switzerland and EMEA. The purpose of this role is to assist with the product risk and control management framework for the entire palette of Investment Products and Services distributed within Switzerland and EMEA (advisory, discretionary and trading execution).

What you will do:
The role will support and assist with maintaining the governance framework related to products and services and ensuring activities are managed in line with regulations and the Bank’s risk appetite.

The candidate will contribute to the delivery of a strong and robust risk management and control framework by
Being in charge of the design, implementation, performance and maintenance of controls related to IWS activities
Supporting the management of IWS existing risks (discretionary, advisory and trading activities) and the identification of emerging risks in relation with the market evolution, regulatory changes and new product initiatives or process / system gaps.
maintaining procedures and policies related to IWS activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders (1LOD and 2LOD).

In this role you will:
Update and maintain the internal risk reporting and monitoring tool (update and maintenance of RCA, evidence of control effectiveness, management of operational incidents, follow-up of issues and actions…)
Report control results and KRIs, prepare committees supporting packs and participate to Swiss and EMEA risk governance forums
Support the management and remediation of issues raised via reviews conducted by 2LOD and 3LOD or external auditors
Provide day-to-day support to IWS stakeholders (answer questions related to processes and risk management)
Provide occasional support for product-related projects, regulatory changes or implementation of new HSBC internal risk and control guidelines

The candidate will have to interact with IWS stakeholders as well as with 2LOD and senior management.

You should apply if you have:
University degree in Business administration, Finance or Economics
Deep experience working in a Bank, asset manager or audit / consulting firm.
Knowledge of the financial sector and investment products / services essential.
Experience in compliance or risk management is a must; understanding of the
European and Swiss regulatory framework a plus.
Autonomous with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks; analytical skills and common sense; proactivity and ability to propose innovative solutions.
Quick learner and self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset, attention to details.
Team player, efficient and reliable
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to interact with different stakeholders and level of seniority.
