For one of my client : a Swiss Fondation,  I’m looking for :






Project Coordinator - Philanthropic activities


The foundation aims to support and develop better protection of the global environment.


The foundation is looking to hire a Project Co-ordinator  ( full time or 80% part-time) for its office in Geneva. This is a challenging position and has been opened to strengthen the grant management capacity of the foundation’s secretariat.


Duties and responsibilities


Under the supervision of the foundation’s Administrator and the Board of Trustees, the Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for :


  • Managing day-to-day operations

  • Supporting the Board of Trustees and their advisers, and ensuring coherence between: internal administration, grant-making activities and reporting.

  • Managing relations with grant recipients. Keeping track of their applications, reporting and monitoring their activities and budgets

  • Providing progress reports for examination by the Board of Fondation, as well as formulating recommendations when required

  • Handling administrative functions in relation with the funding procedures (updating schedule of grants, co-ordinating payment-related processes, etc)

  • Contributing to the organisation and preparation of the Board of Trustees’ meetings, as well as other meetings or sessions with grant recipients and candidates submitting new grant requests.

  • Preparing clear, concise and high quality reports and minutes (in English) when requires

  • General administration by maintaining and managing the foundation’s files and folders

  • Prep aring annual activity reports, as required by the Departement Fédéral de l’Intérieur (DFI)

  • Keeping abreast of news and developments in the media pertaining to the activities of the foundation


Qualifications and experience


Applicants should have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, and :


  • Significant organizational management experience; ideally in a foundation or other grant-making body.

  • Strong administration and co-ordination skilss and excellent analytical capabilities

  • Proven aptitude for multi-tasking, team-work and an ability to work independently (self-directed)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and a fluency in French are essential (knowledge of other languages is an asset).

  • Good understanding of the environmental and sustainability causes and an ability to communicate effectively on them.

  • University-level education; in a related discipline.

  • Valid Swiss work permit.
