Description

Reporting into the Associate Director Facilities & Engineering WAG, as Projects, Sustainability and reliability Engineer you understand and realize GWES Facilities Management Strategies and Priorities at site level. You will lead and ensure compliant delivery and coordination of the GWES Projects on site and develop and manage a program of sustainability and reliability engineering aligned with our goals, site masterplanning and asset management programs.
You will understand client business strategies and ensure GWES strategies are focused to meet business needs. 
Function Responsibility:

  • Lead and oversee the compliant implementation of MSD’s global engineering standards and  programs at the WAG site for GWES activities and assets with responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered to these requirements.
  • The main point of contact for site stakeholders for all Engineering standards matters and coordination with Quality and Safety Standards 
  • Be knowledgeable and a subject matter expert in both MSD’s internal engineering standards and in country regulatory requirements. 
    Project Management

  • Project execution and oversight to ensure compliance with procurement policies and engineering standards.
  • Active ownership and management of a safety program for project execution including MOC all EHS related topics and Safety Checklists and construction safety oversight. 
  • Demonstrate financial skills in managing and controlling projects, including capital planning.
  • Manage projects to achieve engineering and security standards.
  • Ensure financial control and monitor project expenses.
  • Partner with the outsourced IFM provider for the execution of projects assigned and awarded to the IFM provider.  Ensure that the delivery meets MSD’s expectations from inception through commissioning to handover for operation and maintenance including asset creation in CMMS and CCMS systems.
  • Assist in financial management of projects, including budgeting and expense control.
  • Ownership of project execution processes, project portfolio management and project tracking including progress dashboards.
  • Ownership of project Management of Change (MOC) for GWES projects.
    Reliability Engineering

  • Oversee an active Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) program focused on utilizing standard reliability tools to determine asset condition, criticality and replacement priority aligned with the site capital investment program – including tools as FMEA, RBAM and utilizing maintenance and calibration history. 
  • Partner with the outsourced IFM partner and Energy and Maintenance Excellence leads, to develop a portfolio of improvement initiatives that optimizes equipment Maintenance and Energy management efforts across GWES operations.
  • Utilize expertise in reliability engineering and asset management of utilities and buildings.
  • Lead workshops/kaizen/innovation events to deliver improvement initiatives including Lean Utilities, Energy Kaizen facilitation and PM Optimization and Defect Elimination events. 
  • Drive preventive/predictive maintenance processes and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence in partnership with the IFM providers.
    Sustainability

  • Lead the (GENIUS) Global Energy Network for Improvement in Usage & Supply program for the WAG site and act as point of contact for sustainability related projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a transition plan to net zero carbon for WAG and align with the LCAM program.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive energy efficiency initiatives for the site.
  • Implement measures to promote sustainability and achieve environmental goals.
  • Support the execution of the Company ESG goals and initiatives for Scope 1,2 and 3 GHE and Net Zero targets for 2050.Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree. 
  • English and German as well (German is needed for understanding the legal aspects).
  • Experience in Sustainability will be an advantage.
  • It is an on-site role, maybe 1 day Home office.
