Your challenge

*Independently lead and conduct research projects in shoulder and elbow surgery
*Design and implement studies, manage data collection and analysis, and ensure data quality
*Perform advanced statistical analyses and contribute to machine learning-based modelling
*Write and publish high-quality scientific papers; present at national and international conferences
*Participate in grant writing
*Collaborate closely with clinicians and external partners
*Supervise students, research assistants, and study assistants
*Contribute to the strategic development of the research group

What impresses us

*PhD in a relevant biomedical field (e.g., clinical research, health science, epidemiology)
*Significant record of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating scientific productivity and impact.
*Strong analytical skills and sound knowledge of statistical methodology, ideally with experience managing large datasets
*Experience with R, Stata or similar analytical software; machine learning experience is a plus
*Excellent knowledge of the clinical research process from planning through to publication
*Familiarity with orthopaedic research; direct experience in upper extremity outcomes research is an advantage
*Excellent English (spoken and written, especially scientific/medical English); German comprehension or willingness to learn
*Well-developed communication and organisational skills; ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
*Passionate about research, with integrity and the ability to work under pressure
