Risk Control Officer

Client:

Long-established Swiss financial institution with a strong reputation in the industry, not only locally but globally . Regulated under Swiss financial law and supervised by FINMA. Our Client has a low staff turn over and provides a very collegial place to work as well as a wide ranging position, for this risk office post. Finders knows this Client well and can clearly explain the culture and working environment to suitable applicants.

Position:

Joining a small but busy risk management team, you should bring experience across both financial and non-financial risks. The role involves daily monitoring of key risk areas "” including operational, credit, market, and financial risks "” along with regulatory reporting to the BNS using FiRE. You'll also contribute to transversal projects related to risk governance, help develop key risk indicators, and support regulatory compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on key financial and operational risks to management and regulatory authorities
  • Conduct daily risk controls and perform ad-hoc impact analyses
  • Define and track key risk indicators particularly for CTF activities
  • Support internal risk-related projects and contribute to policy and procedure updates
  • Stay current with regulatory developments and assist in aligning internal frameworks accordingly

Profile:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Banking - Audit or Risk Management
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss banking regulations and environment
  • Experience with regulatory reporting tools (, FIRE) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Commodity Trade Finance and Treasury operations is beneficial but not a must
  • Comfortable with IT systems and data analysis tools
  • Independent and proactive approach to work and projects
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written)
  • Applicants must be eligible for a Swiss work permit; frontalier accepted
