Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Evaluate and measure the company's profit and loss ratio
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Develop and maintain financial databases
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and coordinate the audit process
Profile
- Higher education degree in accounting or equivalent
- Several years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of accounting, business and financial principles and methodologies (e.g. GAAP)
- Knowledge of related computer applications (e.g. MS AX, MS Excel)
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Independent, accurate and responsible approach to work
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player and strong communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), good knowledge of German and/or French
