About Our Client

I'm recruiting for a Senior Accountant position on a permanent basis in the Lausanne area. The role is for a fast-growing international company with a German legal entity, requiring strong expertise in German accounting standards and tax compliance.

Job Description

• Take full responsibility for the accounting operations of a German entity, including ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial closings.
• Manage payroll and ensure accurate tax filings (VAT, corporate), strictly aligned with German accounting and tax regulations.
• Prepare financial reports, support planning activities, and drive improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with strong expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance under German GAAP (HGB).
• Fluent in German and English, proficient in DATEV if possible and Excel, and holds a degree in accounting or finance.
• Demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, autonomy, and strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage deadlines effectively.
