Description du poste :
You will join the contracting team and report directly to the Legal Director of Contracts.
As a Senior Legal Counsel, your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, editing, and negotiating various commercial contracts, encompassing services agreements, sales agreements, slot chartering or vessel sharing agreements, logistics agreements (depot, warehousing, stuffing, etc.), and transportation agreements.
- Engaging directly with key external stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to stay abreast of relevant information and provide effective solutions.
- Advising internal clients on potential legal issues or financial implications associated with the contracts they are reviewing.
- Remaining vigilant of changes in the external environment, continually developing professional knowledge and skills, and leveraging these assets to enhance the company's value proposition.
- Collaborating and liaising with business units and other divisions of the Corporate Legal Department, such as Compliance, Antitrust, Litigation, and M&A.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices through participation in conferences, educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and involvement in professional organizations.
Description du profil :
- Minimum qualification of a Master's degree in law or equivalent. Familiarity with common law is essential.
- 5-8 years of experience in a large international organization or law firm.
- Experience in the shipping or transportation/logistics industry, a strong advantage.
- Adaptive and proactive approach to work, with a resourceful mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also being capable of working autonomously.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels and addressing large audiences.
- Excellent command of English (native or equivalent proficiency); proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
