We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team, in Chatel St Denis. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture definition, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software systems as part of prototyping and industrialization projects.
Role
Join our development team as a senior embedded software engineer and work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers
Design and review complex system architectures: hardware, firmware and software
Implement firmware on both bare metal and real-time operating system into C/C++ code
Perform software verification and validation testing to ensure quality and reliability
Lead development and be a technical reference within SDATAWAY for embedded software
Lead discussions with customers about technical and non-technical items
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in embedded software development
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
Profile
MSc or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in embedded software engineering
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiar with Python
Solid understanding of Cortex-M microcontroller architectures
Hands-on experience with IoT systems
Experience with Embedded Linux, device-trees, ARM processors
Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
Open-minded and able to adapt quickly to new technologies
Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as Git and JIRA
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to supporting colleagues
