Job Description

• Advise on and manage disputes, including litigation and arbitration, related to trading and shipping activities.

• Provide legal support on non-contentious matters such as drafting and negotiating contracts, agreements, and terms for trading and shipping.

• Identify and address legal risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Oversee external legal counsel and manage legal fees and relationships.

• Deliver training and report on legal issues to internal teams and management.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate :

• Is UK qualified lawyer.
• Has at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in handling trading and shipping disputes.
• Possess strong knowledge of commercial law, particularly in energy or commodities trading, and have excellent communication skills in English (French fluency is a plus).
