Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Institutional Trading to drive the evolution of our institutional trading offering, serving professional clients such as asset managers, banks, brokers, and financial intermediaries across multiple markets.
Your Role
Reporting to the Product Strategy Trading Manager and working closely with the other trading product managers, you will be responsible for defining, owning, and delivering the product strategy for our Institutional Trading.
You will act as the strategic driver for institutional trading capabilities, balancing client needs, market evolution and regulatory constraints. You will collaborate extensively with Trading Desk, Sales, Institutional Relationship Managers, Technology, Compliance, and Operations to deliver impactful solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Own the product vision for institutional trading, aligned with Swissquote-s global trading strategy.
- Translate institutional client needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements into clear product initiatives and priorities.
- Define product success metrics and ensure continuous improvement based on data and client feedback.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary product interface for Institutional Sales, Trading Desk, Client Service, Legal & Compliance, and Technology teams.
- Work closely with other product managers to ensure alignment and consistency across trading products (retail & institutional) and banking ones.
- Partner with UX and Design teams to ensure usability, efficiency, and coherence across institutional workflows.
Delivery & Execution
- Drive end-to-end product delivery in close collaboration with Software Engineering teams.
- Support go-to-market activities in collaboration with Marketing and Sales, including internal enablement and client communication.
Client & Market Focus
- Maintain a deep understanding of institutional trading workflows, including execution, pricing, liquidity access, reporting, and post-trade processes.
- Monitor competitors, market infrastructure evolution, and regulatory developments impacting institutional trading.
- Engage directly with institutional clients and internal stakeholders to validate product decisions and priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Product Strategist in institutional trading, capital markets, or financial services.
Good understanding of the Institutional FX business, including:
- Bilateral FX trading
- Prime Brokerage (PB) models
- Main FX instruments (spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs)
- Proven experience delivering complex, technology-driven products in a regulated environment, with the ability to translate technical and market concepts into clear product requirements and client value.
- Good understanding of Financial APIs used in an institutional context, particularly in relation to asset management workflows (orders, positions, reporting, reconciliation).
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset, comfortable operating at both vision and execution level.
- Highly organized, autonomous, and results-oriented, able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (our working language). French or other languages are a plus.
