Senior Product Owner - Financial Software

Description

Our client is an international company located in Geneva

Own and communicate the product vision and quarterly roadmap aligned with Finance and IT priorities
Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into Epics, Features, and Product Backlog Items with clear acceptance criteria
Lead backlog refinement, prioritization, and define sprint goals
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and senior management
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews to clarify and structure requirements
Ensure strong traceability between business needs, solution design, and delivered functionality
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations
Own validation and approval of features before production release
Support solution design in collaboration with architects and development teams
Manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team alignment proactively
Ensure business continuity, including incident management and handling urgent business requests
Contribute to continuous improvement and ongoing digital transformation initiatives
Ensure proper documentation of processes, workflows, and system changes
Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and drive decision-making across business and IT
Build trust and act as a key partner to senior leadership

10 years of experience as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst in complex, data-intensive environments
Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies
Proven experience delivering financial or data platforms in international environments
Strong understanding of financial concepts and data-driven decision-making (profitability, cost/revenue analysis)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and structuring skills
Strong ability to operate in ambiguous environments and bring clarity and structure
Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Ability to extract and challenge business knowledge where documentation is limited
Comfortable working in high-expectation environments with strong ownership mindset
Fluent in English (French is a plus)
Experience in trading, energy or financial services is a strong advantage
Team player with strong ownership and accountability mindset
