PROFILE:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are a plus
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in vehicle simulation, with a background in motorsport
Vehicle Dynamics: In-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, and various automotive subsystems to develop accurate and comprehensive simulation models
Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation to derive valuable insights for vehicle performance optimization
Powertrain, hybrid systems, chassis, aerodynamic and tires in the field of motorsport
English fluent spoken and written
Proficiency in industry-standard simulation software such as AVL, MATLAB/Simulink, or proven experience on bespoke lap-time tools
Good experience or willing to jump-start with Python
Other programing languages (VBA, C, etc)

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to take supervise all simulation activities, and taking care of the tools, and the vehicle database. As the Simulation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future racing categories through the definition of the Technical Regulations.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Positioning: Be the reference for the lap simulation within the Performance group. Drive simulation projects and support the other teams members in the respective simulation activities
Simulation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive simulation strategy to optimize vehicle performance, improve lap times, and drive innovation in our racing car design
Simulation Tools: Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge simulation tools, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices
Vehicle Database: Manage the vehicle database, curating accurate and up-to-date information on all aspects of the racing car, including mechanical, aerodynamic, and thermal properties
Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of simulation data to evaluate the car's performance under various conditions, identifying areas for improvement and recommending engineering solutions
Collaboration: Work closely with the aerodynamics, chassis, powertrain, and electronics teams to integrate simulation data into the vehicle design process seamlessly
Model Development: Lead the development and refinement of advanced mathematical models for various vehicle components, validating their accuracy through simulations and real-world testing
Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the simulation process and explore new simulation techniques to stay at the forefront of motorsport engineering at the latest AI technologies
Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to junior simulation engineers, encouraging their professional development and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing
Project management: Support Technical Regulations preparation though expertise and simulation backed propositions
FIA suppliers managing: Liaise with software supplier (AVL) for bugs, features requests and future development and support marketing agreements drafting
Trackside: Attend tests, races and specific meetings on regular basis (
