Job Description:
PSI Audio is a small company that manufactures precision loudspeakers and electroacoustic products for audio professionals. The quality and innovative nature of our products are recognised worldwide.
To support the continued development of our active acoustic absorbers, we are looking for a highly specialised engineer with proven experience in this field.
Fundamental Research:
• Monitor technological and scientific developments in the field on an ongoing basis
• Develop the theoretical foundations of active absorption technologies
• Design and validate scientific models
• Develop testing and measurement protocols and tools
Prototyping:
• Draw up specifications for prototypes
• Carry out testing and measurement of prototypes
• Demonstrate and validate proof of concept
• Conduct laboratory and large-scale trials
Commercial Product Development:
• Contribute to defining specifications for new product versions
• Identify necessary production capacities, both in-house and external
• Coordinate the production of industrial prototypes and pre-series
• Coordinate and drive the industrialisation phase of commercial products
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement technical optimisation measures for existing products
• Develop and optimise testing methods for key product parameters
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s degree in Electroacoustic Engineering from a specialised European university program, such as the International Master’s Degree in Electroacoustics and Audio at the University of Le Mans (France), or equivalent
• Strong background in electrical/electronic engineering, ideally with a Bachelor’s degree
• In-depth theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in active acoustic absorption, with a proven track record of managing related projects
• Experience in managing electroacoustic product development and industrialisation
• Proven experience working in small companies, with the flexibility to contribute across multiple roles
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C, C++) and engineering software (Altium)
• Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) and conversational French
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
