To complete our Foundation Summer Camps team, we are looking for a:

Summer camps coordinator

SUMMER CAMPS COORDINATOR

50% from 19th to 30th June

100% in July and from 14th to 25th August

Unpaid break from 31st July to 11th August


This role is part of the Foundation Camps programme, but based at La Grande Boissière (LGB). Jobholder can enrol his or her children in the LGB Summer Camps programme free of charge (when they are working on site).


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, in collaboration with the Ecolint Camps Director, the summer camps programme including detailed timetable and allocation of staff per group
  • Manage team of 60 coaching staff and assistants to deliver camps programme at LGB site during the summer
  • Act as lead person on site, responsible for ensuring well-being and pastoral care of all children on the camps, in collaboration with other camp staff, including attendance register and check-in/check-out of participants
  • Key point of contact for parents in event of questions or complaints
  • Coordination with Admin team to ensure appropriate staffing levels for camps based on inscriptions

 

Candidate requirements:

•       Experience working with children and young people on sports/leisure related activities, ideally with some relevant qualification

•       Excellent inter-personal skills and sense of customer service

•       Proven ability to lead and motivate teams

•       Bilingual French/English

•       Strong IT skills (email/word processing/spreadsheets)

•       Self-confidence, dynamism, sense of humour and discretion
