For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a System Process Specialist (m/f/d).
Background:
The System & Process Specialist (SPS) is a key member of the System & Process chapter, which is jointly accountable for all elements of clinical supply chain distribution for the global Roche/Genentech portfolio of 500+ studies. The Systems and Process chapter is responsible for having all systems ready and up and running at all times to ensure daily operations (more than 23 depots and affiliates + external partners and & 50mCHF / yearly) and to enable the business execution through optimized systems and business process capabilities. The SPS role executes the strategy and ensures all related systems for clinical distribution are running smoothly and without interruptions.The SPS partners closely with BPM's and the broader distribution community (incl. the Network & Capabilities and Study Mgmt Chapter), IT, external logistics partners and the Roche affiliate network to enable the portfolio and pipeline delivery.
The key to success is a strong collaboration within the Clinical Supply (PTDS) Global Distribution Team, strategic external partners (e.g. DHL, World Courier), IT & Digital teams, the wider PTDS network, Clinical Operations customers and stakeholders, Quality, and Regulatory..
The perfect candidate:
Has Operational experience in SAP ECC 6.0, preferred SAP S/4 including business interface monitoring or experience in SAP projects; has a strong understanding of E2E supply chain management and systems, with a key focus on warehouse, transportation management and logistics (SAP ECC 6.0, preferred SAP S/4, SAP TM, SAP EWM); has excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and applicable tools and systems to enable operational excellence.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and act as a first level support function to coordinate system, interface or transmission between SAP systems and SAP or non-SAP systems related issues in day-to-day distribution and logistics operations. Example: IDoc Monitoring,
TIBCO Middleware Monitoring incl. management & resolution.
- Provide training to the end users on how to handle the system issues or how to find the information or new system functionality
- Participate in global projects (S/4 HANA) that aim to harmonize the overall supply chain processes and simplify the system landscape (define, design, build, test, deploy, related activities). Support CSV activities.
- Provide support and advanced knowledge for the clinical distribution related processes
- Apply / implement best practices, standardization and optimization of distribution processes across PTDS, with a focus on lead time, ensuring supply chain and inventory optimization for a scope of 500+ clinical studies and CHF 900 Mio in inventory.
- Supports the system & process chapter strategy in line with the overall distribution strategy, responsible for system and process strategy execution.
- Responsible for daily operational business continuity.
- Identify and drive root cause analysis, process and performance improvements.
- Acts as the main contact for IT partners and teams (e.g. second level support functions)
and follow-up on corrective or preventive actions.
- Acts as a role model with an exemplary mindset of continuous improvement and global thinking.
- Accountable for innovation and RPA (robotic process automation) in the chapter
- Responsible for managing advanced analytics and reporting capabilities (SAC - SAP Analytics Cloud)
- Fosters a learning and collaboration culture within and across the chapters
- Acts as a coach and consultant for the distribution organization to support effective issue resolution and cascading of information to stakeholders, manages escalations
Must Haves:
- Degree (BA, MS, MBA) in a technical, business or supply chain field or associated relevant experience
- 5-7+ years operational experience in (Clinical) Supply Chain / Distribution / Planning
- Strong understanding of E2E supply chain management and systems, with a key focus on
warehouse, transportation management and logistics (SAP ECC 6.0, preferred SAP S/4, SAP TM, SAP EWM);
- Excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and applicable tools
and systems to enable operational excellence.
